Image Snippet Preview | The New Release On Yoast SEO Plugin

Notably, after previously releasing several updates to the new Yoast SEO 12.4 Image Snippet Preview now shows an image for your post in the Mobile Snippet Preview, just like Google would. Yoast SEO team has several other improvements and fixes for you in-store with Yoast SEO 12.4 version.

In the first place, one of the key features of Yoast SEO is Content Analysis. The analysis consists of multiple checks that give you SEO and readability feedback on the texts you write on your website. Some of these checks are language-independent. For these, we don’t need to create specific versions for, say, French and English.

For others, it is necessary to adapt them to each language. In this article, I’ll explain the research and development process for the expansion of Yoast SEO checks for different languages. You’ll also learn how you can contribute to help Yoast SEO understand your language!

What Does The Yoast SEO Plugin Offer?

To be a Successful Blogger or to make your Blogs outstanding and loved by all, quality content and SEO is the key. Quality content includes clean, informative and easily readable content that is arranged in an appealing way. Creating a quality rich SEO blog post is not an easy task. Yoast SEO Plugin is one of the most popular SEO plugins on the market today.

Whereas, it helps you create an automatically updated XML sitemap for your website. In addition, it helps you preview your content’s search snippet so you can see what site visitors visit. And even gives you the green light when your content is SEO optimized. In addition, you can add meta tags, and set canonical URLs to avoid duplicate content and Google penalties.

As well as to integrate with Google Search Console so you can see how search engines are indexing your site and fix any crawl errors that exist. First, you need to be clear about the topic you are writing or the idea you’re going to share. Then you need to prepare a structure of your blog post, how you’re going to start, what will be your main body part and how you’re going to conclude it.

Be sure, your content must be 100% original because original content is the foremost consideration for quality and SEO-friendly content. Here is what you need to know about Yoast SEO Plugin for WordPress webmasters in detail. Surprisingly, if you want to get more clicks from search results, you need to optimize how your site looks in those search results.

Determining Results In The Image Snippet Preview

With this in mind, a single result in a set of search results is called a snippet. As an example, the Yoast SEO plugin has a snippet preview, which shows a simulation of what your post will look like in those results. To enumerate, the Yoast SEO plugin allows you to preview two versions of your snippet: the mobile snippet and the desktop snippet.

A button below lets you switch between the two and make sure they both look good. Note that the screenshots in this post are made using the latest version of Yoast SEO Plugin. So if you’re thinking “this is different from what I’m seeing,” you need to update! If you search for a specific word, Google will make that keyword bold in the text and URL of the snippets it displays.

But it goes one step further. Once it has decided which pages will rank for your search, it tries to find part of the page that includes that exact term. If your meta description doesn’t contain the keyword searched for, it’ll grab a “random” snippet from the page that does. This is one of the reasons why it helps tremendously if you know what the most searched-for keyword for a page is likely to be.

So you can optimize the snippet for it. In the Yoast SEO plugin, for instance, you can set the focus keyword or keyphrase of your post. Not to mention, that word will then automatically be displayed in bold. As can be seen, the plugin “adapts” by making the focus keyword in the description bold, just like Google would.

Featured Image Snippet Preview In The Mobile

Incidentally, Google has now stopped displaying keywords in page titles in bold. Google also shows a favicon next to the URL. Not too long ago, Google made several changes in the way they present results on mobile. To mimic that, the Yoast SEO team started updating their snippet preview as well.

Whereby, in the latest iteration, we see an image favicon (added in Yoast SEO 11.5, enhanced in 12.1) and new font sizes (added in 12.1) equally. The one thing missing from the current snippet preview in Yoast SEO is that of an image. For some search results on mobile, Google will now show the main image next to it.

In Yoast SEO 12.4, they automatically use your featured image to mimic the way Google does this now. They’ll use the first image in your content if you haven’t set a featured image. But, always remember that; this only works in the mobile snippet preview. As can be seen, especially, from the jmexclusives screenshot captured below.

In the WordPress block editor, you get a nice modal when you click the Snippet Preview button. For example, above is the screenshot outlook from the jmexclusives Post Snippet Preview in action.

Yoast Schema Structured Data Content Blocks

The new Yoast Schema structured data content blocks for the block editor have proven to be a valid way to quickly get rich results for these types of content.
