David Adede is a worship leader, gospel singer, entrepreneur, author, TV show host. Holding a Bachelors and a Master of Science degree in Geology from The University of Nairobi. Currently, David is also a Consulting Geologist and Managing Director of Rock Link Geological Consultants Ltd. He is married with children and worships at Chrisco Fellowship Church. David Adede was raised in a humble background at Migori County, near the southwestern border between Kenya and Tanzania. After completing high school, he had to take up odd jobs to cater for the basic needs. He started off as a charcoal burner to a casual laborer at sugarcane plantation. Then, later as second-hand cloth dealer before finally landing a contract as an Untrained Teacher. David later got employment as a market clerk with British American Tobacco (K) before joining the University of Nairobi. As a student, he was lucky to receive support from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB). Hence, able to operate as an amateur photographer generating extra income for survival in the campus. He served in Chiromo Campus Christian Union’s Executive Committee and participated in several evangelistic missions.[caption id="attachment_10938" align="aligncenter" width="900"]
David started singing at the age of 10 during Sunday school. He led the youth choir at the age of 12 when his older cousin identified his gift. A few weeks later, the cousin used a radio cassette to record David’s first songs. He completed recording his first full album Pokea Utukufu in 2015. This was after a series of challenging experiences that saw him go back to the drawing board. For instance, enrolling for music classes at Daystar University in 2014. Like David in the bible who is well known as a worshiper, David Adele’s genre is worship. His latest hits include Sitachoka, Iduong, Twakutegemea and Tuma Mvua (Ft. Sarah K).
David quotes Romans 1:20 as his favorite worship verse. Not to mention, he has founded Acts Eternal Society. That identifies, promotes and nurture talents especially among young people besides other charity works. Society identifies gifted youths from humble backgrounds and sponsors their music production. Together with, some of the best producers in Kenya. Some of the latest events include Sitachoka outreach that brought together over 4000 orphans and widows at Uthiru Gichagi Polytechnics, Kiambu County. For the purpose of, marking World Aids Day on 1st December 2016. Coupled with Orphans fun day at Pillars of Hope Children’s Home in Kitengela on 4th February 2017. Both the events were published in Salon Magazines, January 2017 and March 2017 editions respectively.
The society is now organizing the first of a kind talent search. That will bring together over 300 orphans from various children’s homes. The event will involve auditions and mentorship programs as the participants interact with various renown successful artists.
